Hygiene Group Ltd. carries out cleaning for food, drinks, pharmaceutical and associated industries.

We now have a great opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail to become part of an experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives working at a renowned confectionery manufacturer in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

The role will initially be for a 6-month contract but may then present the opportunity to become permanent.

Weekend Hygiene Operatives - The Role

Reporting to the Contract Chargehand & working in a small team of 6, the Weekend Hygiene Operative role is to carry out a variety of cleaning duties to ensure that the production areas and production equipment are maintained to necessary hygiene standards.

Shift Times are 06.00 - 16.00 hours and include the following cleaning duties:

Machine cleaning using brushes & cloths; Cleaning of vessel exteriors; High-level cleaning (from aircraft steps); Floor cleaning;

Key responsibilities are to:

Perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures. Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards. Be responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client's environmental systems. Be responsible for alerting the Contract Chargehand to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the clean. Participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.

Previous experience in cleaning and/or a food manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided along with uniform and protective clothing.
