Job title: Hygiene Team Leader (Nights)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week -

10:30pm to 6:30am

Little Moons are frozen and chilled mochi, a fusion of Eastern and Western cuisine - soft and chewy rice flour dough wrapped around balls of ice cream, cheesecake, or chocolate ganache to create a distinctive, bite-sized, and delicious snack that's bursting with flavour.

Their rollout across Europe has been pioneered by sister and brother duo Vivien and Howard Wong, who founded Little Moons in 2010. The product's roots are in high-end restaurants, but over the last five years retail packs have swept the ice cream category in grocery and food service.

Little Moons has rapidly established mochi, and snacking ice cream, across Europe. In 2024 we generated more than 60m revenue, and in 2025 we continue to drive towards double digit growth.

The Role:

We're looking for a hands-on Hygiene Team Leader to lead our deep cleaning operations across High Care and Low Care areas. You'll be the go-to person on shift--organising your team, maintaining high hygiene standards, and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely.

You'll work closely with teams across production, engineering, and technical to ensure our site is always audit-ready and operating to the highest food safety standards. From supporting line start-ups to responding to audits and driving continuous improvement, you'll play a key role in keeping our site clean, compliant, and running at its best.

How You'll Make a Difference:

Lead the hygiene team on shift, ensuring cleaning schedules are completed to a high standard. Maintain hygiene, safety, and environmental standards across all areas. Support line set-up and start-up following deep cleans and maintenance. Ensure cleaning procedures, equipment, and practices meet best practice and customer standards. Communicate clearly across shifts and departments to keep everyone aligned. Support audits and customer visits--planned or unannounced. Monitor hygiene KPIs and take action where needed. Carry out stock checks and ensure chemical use is compliant and effective. Champion a safe working environment and uphold Health & Safety standards. Support training and development of hygiene team members. Promote a positive, values-led culture where people feel informed, included, and empowered.

About you:

You've got experience in a hygiene or cleaning role, with leadership experience ideally in food manufacturing. You're confident leading a team and keeping things organised on shift. You understand food safety, hygiene standards, and what good looks like. You're proactive, reliable, and take pride in doing things right. You communicate clearly and work well with others across departments. You're calm under pressure and know how to get the best from your team. You care about quality, safety, and creating a great place to work.
