Purpose of Role
To effectively run the Warehouse ensuring that the required stock is ordered, stored, controlled and issued to meet production demand and in line with all specification, procedures and processes.

IOSH Job Related Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
Proven track record of managing teams
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
Ability to interact with high profile customers
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for running all aspects of the Warehouse to deliver all stock in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring demand is met and all procedures are followed.
Ensure stock levels are adequate for production demands
Informing the Purchasing team of any replenishment needs
Ensuring all labels are correctly stored and issued to production following all relevant procedures
Ensuring that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times
Complete all relevant paperwork correctly in a timely and efficient manner
Helping others when necessary before being asked to do so e.g. replenishing stocks, helping issue stock to the factory etc
Requirement to adhere to departmental procedures regarding all operations
Ensure staff are allocated to required areas and are utilised to a maximum
Be flexible in abilities across the department to allow staff rest breaks to be covered effectively.
Be familiar with quality and customer specifications
Correctly identify all 'returns', 'quarantined stock' and process in accordance with all Technical specifications and requirements and Safety regulations
Effectively harness, motivate and develop their team in order to reduce staff turnover and encourage maximum productivity
Ensure staff are wearing the correct PPE.
Ensure goods receipting is carried out on a daily basis
Develop and train staff in key areas to ensure succession
Deliver on key performance indicators
Improve processes and practices
Ensure clarity of role for team members, including assigning of tasks, coaching and providing feedback
Ensure adherence to all standards and processes relating to, glass, complaints, label verifications and other paperwork in your area
Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, internal company policies and procedures, codes of practice, technical specifications, and developments in H.A.C.C.P systems relevant to the department
Uphold good housekeeping and hygiene practices to ensure product safety, with particular attention to temperature control and general hygiene
Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure the throughput of all products in an efficient manner
Respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct when interacting with colleagues
Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Site Environmental Permit, company HSE policies, site safety rules, and procedures at all times
To identify hazards in the workplace and to take corrective action or initiate controls to minimise the risk
To effectively promote Health, Safety and Environmental awareness within your areas of control
Carry out activities with full awareness of their impact on the environment, both in terms of people and the local area
Effectively manage energy and waste within the department

Hours of work- Monday- Friday(Nights) 6.30pm- 4am (however flexibility around core working hours is essential)
