We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, hardworking individual to become an integral part of the IBD team in the provision of efficient, comprehensive and effective administration support to the IBD specialist nurses.
Your duties will include secretarial support to the IBD specialist nurses, preparing for clinics, dealing with telephone enquiries and a variety of other administrative duties as well as managing the daily workloads.
Administration support within the IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist Team
Manage the IBD advice line
Book and reschedule clinic appointments
Liaise with other healthcare agencies
Lead the administration of the IBD Patient panel
Deal sensitively and effectively with queries from patients, relatives and colleagues ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
To perform all allocated clerical tasks required to meet the needs of the service
To undergo training as necessary to meet the needs of Service
Ensure completion of investigations to progress patient care.
Supporting the team in maintaining the IBD website and other media.
Providing cover as required in the absence of other administrative members of the team

Previous administration experience and experience of working with the general public is essential. You must have good communication skills with patients and colleagues at all levels and a flexible approach to your work.
