We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ice Cream Concession Manager to oversee daily operations and drive sales at our Callestick Ice Cream shop on Carlyon Bay Beach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the concession stand, ensuring smooth operation throughout shifts
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage team members, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards in all areas of the concession
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to prevent shortages or wastage
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
Implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise costs
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the concession area in accordance with health regulations
Assist with menu planning and development to enhance offerings based on customer preferences
Skills
Proven experience in supervising or managing food service operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and food production processes
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
Experience in serving customers in a hospitality environment with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to oversee kitchen operations including culinary tasks and food safety standards
Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage inventory and optimise workflow
Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
Effective communication skills to liaise with staff and customers confidently
