Job Description

Strategy & Planning



Assist the ICT Department in operational and strategic tasks and projects.

Acquisition & Deployment



Make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the ICT infrastructure and IT systems.

Assist with the occasional administration of the financial aspects of the ICT Department, including purchasing.

Contribute to the development and implementation of all ICT policies and procedures.

Operational



Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications, in an appropriate style, with all customers of the IT department.

Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support of all ICT systems, including servers, PCs, laptops, operating systems, hardware, software, wired and wireless networks, projectors and interactive whiteboards/TV's, phones, CCTV and peripherals etc.

Provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.

Research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.

Keep current with the latest technologies.

Undertake asset management for ICT hardware, software, and equipment.

Install and maintain certificate compliance.

Other



Undertaking duties in line with the Health and Safety policies of the School.

To engage actively with the School's performance development review processes and take responsibility for own development.

To promote and uphold the School's values in relation to Equality and Diversity.

To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons and ensure compliance with the school's Child Protection Policy Statement at all times.

To understand the issues of radicalisation and to refer concerns appropriately.

Undertake other duties which may arise from time to time, to be agreed with your Line Manager.

Key Performance Measures



Develops and maintains good working relations with a wide range of School staff to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the School's ICT needs.

Feedback from ICT users confirms that the post holder behaves in a customer-focused manner and demonstrates a clear appreciation of the School's ICT support needs.

ICT policies, procedures, and best practices are defined and implemented in line with the School's aims and objectives.

Working Conditions

Please note - Bootham School is an historic building over several floors with no lifts.

Post holder will work at both the junior and senior school sites.

Work to a rota system to cover up to 10 to 11 Saturday mornings a year with time off in lieu.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 31,854.00 per year
