Job Type: Permanent


Hours: 38 hours/week

Salary: From 28,000, depending on experience

Your role and responsibilities




The role of the ICU Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is critical to providing high client and patient care standards.


The purpose of this position is to serve primarily as an ICU RVN. You will be responsible for the nursing care of critical patients and the recovery of high-risk patients following general anaesthesia.


Guidance, support and coordination of interns, junior nursing staff, Student Veterinary Nurses and veterinary care assistants are important aspects of the role.


A mature, highly professional manner, ability to work closely with other personnel, excellent written and verbal communication and high levels of attention to detail, concentration and accuracy are all paramount to this role.


Should caseload allow and upon the request of nursing line managers, assistance with general nursing duties in other departments of the hospital may also be required.

Our hospital facilities are of the highest quality, including on-site Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in-theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital radiography rooms, ultrasonography, electro diagnostics, video endoscopy and an extensive range of advanced surgical equipment.
