within head office Finance Team in Laindon, Essex.
This is a full-time office based position working Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30.
What will I be responsible for?
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, flexible, and capable Accounts Assistant with good attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for all customer billing.
General duties include:
Production of all sales invoices/credit notes via internal operating software - varying from customer to customer.
Build up deep knowledge of all customer invoicing requirements.
Liaising with relevant Transport Managers and Supervisors to ensure correct and accurate entry of data.
Ensure weekly and monthly invoicing deadlines are met.
Maintain and communicate real time invoicing tracker to Accounts Department and Senior Leadership.
Take responsibility to proactively investigate and manage customer queries.
Understand and respect internal accounting deadlines.
Ensure internal controlled documents are kept updated with changes to rates and invoicing requirements, by liaising with other team members.
Support the Accounting Departments with ad-hoc accounting duties.
Supporting the Management Accountant with ad-hoc tasks where necessary

Strong IT skills in MS excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot tables), MS office and experience of using bespoke IT systems.
