We are an innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role, however during your initial training period the need to be in the office with other team members will be essential. Our UK office is based in Chorley, which is where you will be based.

As an Implementation Consultant at ESG, you will support multiple small, medium and large-scale projects and programme deliveries, from pre-sales through to go live, combining both business and technology skills and industry knowledge. Utilising detailed knowledge of our product implementation services for ESG products, you will deliver general consultancy, alongside providing support and guidance for test and accreditation activities in support of Client's wishing to implement ESG solutions into their business. This includes support of the activities to integrate their own software solutions with ESG products.

As a consultant you will be expected to support, and sometimes mentor, other Consultants within the team, as well as taking the lead in your own personal development. This is alongside supporting the team to continuously refine and evolve the processes and procedures that underpin a successful Implementation Services Consultancy team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



As an Implementation Consultant at ESG you will:

Understand, Design, Test, and Support the implementation of ESG applications in to Client environments. Support the delivery of small, medium and large-scale projects, programmes and engagements Manage the end-to-end processes involved in integrating ESG products into Clients / third parties existing landscapes, including education and training, test support and the provision of integration testing artifacts, data set-up and test environments (where relevant) Manage the end-to-end processes involved in accrediting Clients to utilise ESG software and services, working alongside internal teams to provide the relevant industry mandated evidence, and supporting Clients with their understanding of the obligations and activities involved Support other Client led test phases such as User Acceptance Testing and End-to-End Testing where appropriate from providing defect management and triage support for ESG products, through providing advice and guidance on the optimum approach to delivering these test phases (i.e., using existing ESG test artifacts) Support the Project Manager to identify and propose the most appropriate implementation approach for each project Build strong relationships from Project initiation stage to partner with Clients to enable and improve their knowledge and system confidence, ensuring a best-in-class onboarding experience. Identify new opportunities for Product improvements, feeding these into the product roadmap Periodically, review documentation and tools to keep them up to date with product evolution and continuously improve processes o Provide accurate status reporting to the Client / business during product implementation activities (i.e., test, migration, and accreditation where relevant) Maintain product and industry knowledge as the products evolve and industry release new changes Work with other Consultants and wider ESG colleagues to ensure a coherent and consistent approach to delivering consultancy and knowledge transfer engagements Work with other delivery services colleagues to support ESG's client-centric delivery approach, utilising consultancy qualities such as professionalism, judgement, creative thinking, insight, communication skills, expert knowledge, and integrity Support pre-sales discussions, alongside inputting into initial scoping and estimating for implementation services Support mobilisation phases for large-scale client implementations often leading workshops to validate, agree and refine the approach to implementing ESG products into clients existing landscapes Recommend and drive best practice product adoption (i.e., optimum integration) for our clients to ensure they maximise the benefits of the ESG solutions Manage simultaneous product implementations and project work streams Support the Lead Implementation Consultant to coach and mentor more junior members of staff Support the Lead Implementation Consultant with the ongoing development of the Implementation Services team, as well as your own personal development, including skills, knowledge, tools, and techniques Identify additional sales / opportunities and liaise with the Account Managers and/or Service Delivery Managers to ensure that the client's needs are met All other related duties as assigned

Experience:



Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a Consultant, Business Analyst, or equivalent customer facing role Experience of having worked in a consultative manner with customers to determine and understand their needs and goals to provide tailored guidance in successful adoption of the platform Good skills and best practice knowledge in implementation methodologies from product integration (i.e., infrastructure, environment, data, and test script requirements) Knowledge of database software/technologies to enable solution integration, for example SQL Server Knowledge of the Software Implementation Lifecycle Delivery of high levels of customer (internal and external) experience Proven ability to deliver multiple projects at one time while achieving high customer satisfaction Comprehensive analytical skills and the ability to formulate client-specific solutions Experience of working in a fast-paced role or environment Energy Industry experience is desirable but not essential Experience using Jira, Confluence and/or SharePoint and timesheet recording systems (i.e. Netsuite) is desirable Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, and to spend time on Client sites supporting them face-to-face for extended periods as required to meet Client expectations and project deliverables

Education



Consultancy and / or Business Analysis qualifications are desirable

You will have:



Experience in a similar role with a proven track record of consultancy techniques and/or implementation methodologies Excellent personal and communication skills Excellent written and presentation skills An analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret complex information and resolve complex problems Experience of working within delivery and project teams Experience in producing high-quality documentation from both detailed integration documentation to high-level approach documents for Clients Experience of working in a fast-paced role or environment Passion, drive and be committed to delivering high quality solutions and professional services
