Job Summary



We are currently seeking an

In Vivo Scientist

to join our in vivo pharmacology team at our Hatfield facility. This is a

3-month contract position

, ideal for candidates with immediate availability. Applicants must hold a

Home Office Personal Licence (PIL AB)

under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.

Key Responsibilities



Design, execute, and analyse preclinical in vivo studies in line with client protocols and regulatory standards Perform a range of in vivo techniques, including dosing (oral, IV, SC, IP), sampling, and surgical procedures Comply with all Home Office regulations and contribute to high standards of animal welfare Maintain accurate study records, including animal welfare logs and experimental data Deliver high-quality data to Study Directors and contribute to technical reports Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient study delivery Support facility operations including husbandry, equipment maintenance, and welfare monitoring

Essential Qualifications & Experience



A BSc, MSc or PhD in Pharmacology, Biology or a related life sciences discipline A valid Home Office Personal Licence (PIL AB) is essential Demonstrated hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacology, including dosing and tissue collection Solid understanding of animal welfare requirements and ASPA regulations High level of attention to detail and accurate record keeping Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
