Job Summary
The Inbound Team Leader at JD.com, Inc. will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of an inbound logistics team. This role ensures the efficient and accurate receipt, processing, and storage of goods, contributing to a seamless supply chain and customer fulfillment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of inbound associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee and manage all inbound receiving activities, including unloading, checking, sorting, and put-away of merchandise.
Ensure accurate inventory control through meticulous record-keeping and adherence to established procedures.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inbound operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Train new team members on inbound processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments, such as outbound and inventory management, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient material flow.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to management as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to all company safety standards and regulations.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software for accurate data entry and tracking.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
Proven experience with inbound logistics processes, including receiving, put-away, and inventory control.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
