What we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently, required to travel to allocated schools throughout the week and provide a mixture of 1:1 intervention as well as guidance and support to schools to find strategies and solutions that help set children on the correct path to success.
A valid driving license and access to a car is essential for this role, as you will be expected to travel to other sites.
If you are a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently, with an interest in working with young people and would like the opportunity to join a successful team. We are actively looking for someone with Primary experience to complement our team.
We are seeking to appoint an outreach Teaching Assistant to provide keyworker support for children identified as at risk of permanent exclusion in mainstream schools.
You will work as part of the WSAPC 3 R Team to provide support to children and staff in mainstream schools to develop skills and strategies in order to avoid permanent exclusions. You will share our vision of Reengage, Refocus and Reintegrate.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a role that is diverse and rewarding and to work in a team wherein initiative and creativity are at the forefront of solution-focused practice.
You will be allocated a working base of WSAPC Lancing or Burgess Hill, however, you will expected to travel daily to various different schools.

You will have:
Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent Grade C or above
A good standard of education across a range of subjects
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English & Maths
