Income Generation Officer

22.5 hours per week, 1 year fixed term contract

Established in 1976, the Palmer Centre is a popular and highly regarded community facility, located in the heart of Chepstow.

As well as operating a busy dementia friendly cafe, the Centre facilitates activities that benefit the community - particularly people that experience loneliness and isolation.

The Role

The

Income Generation Officer

will help secure our future and expand our impact. You will play a key role in identifying new income opportunities to sustain and grow our work.

As a member of a small and enthusiastic team, you'll lead on the creation, development and implementation of our income generation strategy, working closely with the Centre Operations Manager, Chair and other trustees.

Here are the skills and experience that we're looking for:

Creative and proactive Advanced communication skills A team player Experience working with volunteers Organised and structured way of working Strategic and resourceful in identifying and securing additional income streams Ideally experienced in income generation across multiple channels (e.g. commercial income, fundraising events, community events, individual giving, grants and trusts) Competent IT skills including the use of email, MS Office packages, social media platforms and website back-end editing A good understanding of financial management, including the analysis of income and expenditure data and P&L reports
You'll need to hit the ground running; this is a fast-moving role that will need the postholder to be dynamic and produce measurable results within a relatively short timescale.

Your work will help ensure that the Palmer Centre can continue to offer essential services to the people of Chepstow and surrounding area.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the role is initially funded for one year. However, should the postholder successfully generate sufficient additional income there is scope for the role to become permanent.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 18,000.00 per year
