Advocacy North East (ANE) is an independent, charitable organisation that provides adult Carers in our community with the information and support they need to understand their rights, make informed choices and have their voice heard when dealing with Health, Social Care and Social Work Services.

Our organisation has a commitment to equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sectors of our community as we seek to fill this position which, although based at our office near Inverurie, will require extensive travel throughout Aberdeenshire and beyond to meet the needs of our beneficiaries.

ANE operates a flexible working arrangement to promote operational capability and benefit our staff and clients.

We are looking for someone with a professional attitude who is highly motivated, positive and resilient to deliver independent advocacy to our Carer clients throughout Aberdeenshire and sometimes further afield.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience of working alongside Carers who can be marginalised due to challenging health, social and environmental factors that make them vulnerable, and have a broad understanding of the issues and barriers that they may face due to their caring role. Knowledge of legislation and social policy as it impacts on Carers would be desirable

Candidates for this post must possess excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, be IT literate and have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

A valid driving licence and use of a vehicle is a requirement.

This post is deemed Regulated Work with Adults and Children and recruitment is subject to satisfactory PVG Scheme Membership and references.
