Independent Mental Health Advocate Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire

We have a 37 hour per week advocate vacancy.

This role will involve visiting mental health units in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, advocating for people in hospital for their mental health. Hybrid working - home/office/with the person in a variety of venues. Full training provided. Established long term funding. Full time post or will consider job share opportunity - usually 2 days Carmarthenshire and 3 days Pembrokeshire.

Pay: starting at 25,623 (unqualified advocate), starting at 28,022 (advocate qualified with the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Qualification or equivalent legacy qualification).

Advocacy West Wales-Eiriolaeth Gorllewin Cymru is a leading provider of independent advocacy in West Wales.

If you:

Have excellent communication, telephone, organisational and IT skills,

Demonstrate an empathic and non-judgmental approach to working with the people you support.

Are either a bilingual Welsh and English speaker, or willing to develop your Welsh language skills.

Have a strong commitment to and understanding of issues of social justice, human rights, equality and inclusion,

Enjoy working as part of a team and engaging with a wide range of people, both professionals and clients of the service,

Are committed to undertaking the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Qualification.
