We are seeking a highly qualified and autonomous Independent Prescriber to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will have the authority to assess, diagnose, and prescribe medications within their scope of practice, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and effective care. Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and examinations.
Diagnose a range of health conditions in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and therapies independently within the scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and adjust prescriptions as necessary, ensuring optimal care.
Provide advice and education to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans.
Maintain accurate, detailed records of consultations and prescriptions in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Stay updated with current clinical guidelines, pharmacology developments, and professional regulations.
Skills
Qualified Independent Prescriber with valid registration with the relevant professional body.
Proven experience in a clinical setting with autonomous prescribing responsibilities.
Strong clinical assessment skills combined with excellent decision-making abilities.
Effective communication skills to engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams confidently.
Organised approach to documentation and record keeping in line with legal requirements.
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships within the healthcare environment.

Key Requirements:
First-level registered nurse or registered pharmacist
Independent Prescriber qualification
RCGP Qualifications Level 1 and 2 are desirable
Experience of working within substance misuse services
