We are currently looking for an Indirect Category Lead in our Dewsbury HQ, to support our growing procurement team, this is a fantastic role that will allow the successful candidate to upskill and develop through the company, you will find more details below.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Develop a cost reduction strategy, including spend analysis, leveraging the company's spend
Manage key supplier relationships, ensuring performance, service levels, and innovation
Understand business requirements and translate them into effective procurement solutions
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including contractual, operational, and reputational risks
Provide support in developing and implementing regional and national Category strategies with the Purchasing Manager
Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiencies, and category performance
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracting
What You Need
GCSE standard 5 passes, Grades 4-9 (1 -6) including English and Mathematics
3 years+ experience in indirect procurement with category management responsibility
Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
Knowledge of procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and e-sourcing platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
