Hours of work: 29.6 hours per week, 8:35am to 3:15pm.
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

We are a good school and we are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Individual Needs Assistant to join our support team to work 1:1 with a child with an educational healthcare plan (EHCP) for developmental delay and speech, language and communication needs joining our Reception class in September 2025.
The child requires 1:1 support throughout the day including personal care and supporting learning in class and supervision within the classroom and wider school environment.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in supporting children with additional needs such as autism, speech, language and communication needs
Knowledge of, and the ability to implement a range of strategies in order to keep the pupil motivated
Understanding of SEND needs and has a commitment to inclusion within a mainstream setting
Be able to work on own initiative following guidance from the SENDCO and class teacher
Has excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
A calm, patient, resilient and flexible approach.
This role requires you to undertake Paediatric First Aid training if you do not currently have that qualification.
