Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner to join our team.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will handle a caseload of industrial disease claims from initial instruction through to resolution, including both pre-litigated and litigated matters. The caseload may include claims involving Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), Ministry of Defence cases, and a range of other occupational disease claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of industrial disease claims (litigated and pre-litigated)

Assess prospects of success and liability

Draft legal documents including pleadings and witness statements

Assess quantum and liability to include reviewing medical records and acoustic engineering reports, researching relevant case law, drafting schedules of special damages, reviewing disclosure documents.

Conduct negotiations with insurers and defendants

Comply with court directions and procedural requirements

Liaise with clients, experts, counsel, and third parties

Prepare cases for issue and trial where necessary

Ensure case progression in line with internal targets and deadlines

Requirements:

Proven experience managing industrial disease claims (essential)

Strong understanding of pre-action protocol and litigation process

Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload

Ability to meet monthly financial targets and key performance indicators.
