Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Electrician to join our team on a large site in Deeside. You will be required to work on a day shift rota.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Industrial Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and infrastructure.

Duties

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults accurately. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimise downtime. Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to facilitate installation and repairs. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to coordinate repairs and upgrades of electrical infrastructure. Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, including lockout/tagout procedures. Document all maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. Assist in training junior staff or apprentices as required.

Requirements

5 years minimum of experience as an Electrician within an industrial or manufacturing environment. IPAF Gold JIB Card. Full PPE Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent. Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to electrical work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Valid electrical licence or certification as required by local legislation is preferred but not essential. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement in their role as an Industrial Electrician.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 25.00-26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
