Industrial Electrician / Electrical Testing

Key responsibilities will be:

To lead and carry out EICR electrical testing across wide variety of industrial and commercial sites to determine the level of compliance for the fixed wiring installation of the site.

Investigate and determine the requirements of electrical installation where compliance is unsatisfactory and detail required remedial work or reactive maintenance to industrial equipment and facilities.

Improvement projects comprising of new installations / testing of facilities and machinery during factory shutdowns / production downtime.

Based mainly at one location but flexibility required to travel to other regional sites to support the requirements of the business and carry out EICR's.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Qualifications

C&G 2391 or 2394/5 Electrical Testing and Inspection (Essential)

Time served UK recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Installation / Maintenance.

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent with City & Guilds

18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

IPAF Card

JIB Gold Card / CCNSG Safety Passport

Experience

Minimum 5 years, experience post apprenticeship in an industrial electrical installation role.

Minimum 3 years electrical testing and the productions of EICR's (condition reports) in an industrial and commercial environment.

Thorough understanding of electrical regulations and ability to interpret regulations into practical hands on application in industrial / commercial environments.

Experience of working under permit systems and following safe working practices with adherence to Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Maturity and ability to work collaboratively with Qualified Supervisor and other team members to execute testing tasks in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

Strong awareness and adherence to electrical regulations & standards.

Immediate start available, site and industry specific training will be provided on an ongoing basis.

Job Types: Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 38,500.00-45,000.00 per year
