What is the opportunity



We are looking for an experienced Industrial Painter / Preppers ideally with a background from the rail industry, someone with a high attention to detail, able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications, as well as having relevant experience of spray painting. We want experienced painters who can exceed our customers' expectations by delivering a high stand of work on time and be a team player.

Key responsibilities

:

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at all times

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures at all times.

Ensure that projects, meet or exceed our customer expectations

Uphold the Company standards and ethics at all times.

Ensure that you adhere to paint manufactures specification.

Ensure a high standard of prep work on all projects.

Ensuring consistent high standards of prepping and painting.

Prep and mask up vehicles.

Paint vehicles and vehicle parts (Painters only).

Mask up and primer repaired and new panels when required.

Reseal panels when required.

Check, plus flat and polish including non-painted vehicles when required

Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner

Undertake any other similar responsibilities as requested from time to time

Where Will You Be Working

?

Arlington Fleet Services is based at Eastleigh Works in Hampshire on a 46-acre site which includes 14 acres of workshops. We were formed in 2004 by a group of experienced railway engineering professionals and our business is constantly expanding. The Company supplies tailored maintenance, refurbishment and project services for the entire life cycle of rolling stock including;

Routine maintenance and servicing of a variety of locomotives, coaching and other stock.

Bespoke projects to meet client's requirements.

Redesign and re-purposing of rolling stock to meet client's requirements.

Bogie servicing & overhaul.

Heavy repair including collision repairs, re-wiring, interior refurbishment and overhaul.

On site Paint shop offering a variety of total paint solutions.

On site welding team to support all client requirements.

On site wheel shop for overhaul and repair.

Workshop facilities to other customers.

Train stabling and Rolling stock storage.

End of life dismantling and recycling.

What Experience & Qualifications Are Essential to the Role?

Experience of working as a spray painter

Experience of spray painting large scale projects successfully and on time.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience of using water based and solvent based paint applications.

Team Player

What Experience & Qualifications Are Desired For The Role

?

Spray Painting within the Rail industry/Aerospace industry/Marine industry

Spray painting of large vehicles such as HGVS/Trucks/Busses

This role is in a heavy engineering environment, which means at times there will be low-level bending, heavy lifting & working at height.

It is also important to point out that our site does get very cold during the winter months

Pay: 27,324.00-35,189.00 per year
