Industrial Sewing Machinist


Banbury

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an additional Industrial Sewing Machinist to take on this specialist role, as part of our service offering to our customers.


Your new role


The key purpose is to manage and organise the repair of all CLEAN or customer owned garments to a high standard and all PPE repairs to the recognised level and specification. This will include:


Managing and organising the repair of garments, including a full quality inspection of all garments is conducted;
Completing all forms and documentation daily in full;
Accurately updating company IT systems regarding garment repair status and location;
Ensuring sewing machine maintenance is up to date and any issues are escalated to the Team Leaders;
Working as a Production Operative when business needs dictate.


The role is offered on a permanent basis working 25-35 hours per week - Monday to Friday. We are very flexible as to how those hours are worked.


What do I need to apply?


This is a pretty specialist role, and a super important one as part of our service offering to our customers.


You will need previous experience of garment repair in a commercial setting, and will be able to use and maintain industrial sewing machines, including experience of fixing zips, elastic waist bands, poppers and patching. You will need to be able to prioritise your workload, possess a good command of English to be able to communicate with staff and customers, have great attention to detail and can work as part of a team.


You will need proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
