Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machinist

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break), overtime available on Friday's 7.30am - 2.30pm. Part time hours available too

An exciting opportunity to join our sewing room in Batley has arisen. Previous experience in sewing on a manufacturing scale is essential, previous cutting out experience is desirable

As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble textile components according to quality and design specifications. You'll work as part of a friendly and experienced production team

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines (e.g. flatbed, overlocker) safely and efficiently Sew, hem, and finish textile pieces following detailed instructions and quality standards Read and interpret design patterns or technical specifications Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and high-quality workmanship Perform basic machine maintenance (e.g. threading, changing needles) Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and improve processes

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a sewing machinist (2+ year preferred) Confident with a range of sewing machines and stitching techniques Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently Punctual, dependable, and a team player
