Industry placement officer, Thurrock Campus As an Industry placement officer you will be reporting to a designated Deputy College Principal, you will be developing and co-ordinating high quality industry placement opportunities for learners on 16-19 study programmes. You will be generating new placement opportunities, as well as being the key point of contact for employers, whilst they host a student on placement. This role requires liaison with learners, employers and curriculum staff. As an Industry Placement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining effective partnerships between educational institutions and industry stakeholders, ensuring the successful integration of students into real-world work environments.
Duties and Responsibilities Establishing and developing strong relationships with local and regional employers to develop sustainable placement opportunities and monitor students whilst attending these placements. Sourcing new industry placement opportunities, as well as being the key point of contact for employers, whilst they host a student on placement. Working with Heads of School to ensure that industry placements are planned and structured to help learners progress in both their technical and work readiness skills. Visiting each industry placement setting according to an agreed schedule, recording employer feedback and actioning as appropriate.
Securing feedback from students on their placements and reporting any concerns to the Deputy College Principal. Tracking and evaluating the success of industry placements and recording progress on the GroFar platform. Ensuring compliance with industry placement guidelines and standards set by regulatory bodies. Contributing to monthly Milestones by providing status reports to Deputy College Principals.
