About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Sharepoint Information Architect to work for our client within the consulting sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in either London, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Darlington, Edinburgh, or Salford.



Our client is looking for an experienced SharePoint Information Architect to join their knowledge and information management (KIM) team with the primary objective being to support the digital heap engagement campaign with their customer. You will ensure that the older SharePoint /Teams sites meet modern governance standards including retention, access controls and sensitivity labels.


Responsibilities



Analyse SharePoint site reports and data to make recommendations on site structures, permission models, and retention schedules to align older sites with new information architecture and governance standards for SharePoint Ensure all sites have a lifecycle management plan to reduce storage consumption and protect information of national significance for future review and transfer to The National Archives (TNA) Collaborate with records reviewers and the KIM business support team to frame and validate recommendations Engage with site owners out in the business to take decisions on the information held within the site (how long to keep contents etc.) Work with the SharePoint migration engineer to facilitate migration to new sites within the tenancy when necessary

Requirements




Proven experience as a SharePoint Information Architect or similar role Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site structures, and governance standards Strong analyst skills to assess types of information stored in a site, make recommendations on retention, structure, and permissions for a SharePoint / Teams site Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience working within a user-centered design process, understanding how to translate user research into actionable information design Strong ability to analyse complex systems and structure information in a clear, logical way
