But any world-leading engineering company needs world-leading information governance activities to ensure compliance is of the highest standard, and that the NCC is maximising the value of the information it holds. This is where you come in.


Responsibilities:





As Information Governance Officer you will provide administrative support with the day-to-day activities of the IG function. You will provide support to NCC's Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer to ensure that matters concerning Information Governance are processed in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with legislation, providing guidance on policy & procedure, and help shape how we manage and protect information across the NCC.



This newly created role is a truly exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields Information Governance (IG), Records Management (RM), Freedom of Information (FOI), and Data Protection (DP) while developing valuable skills in a supportive working environment.


You will receive on the job training and gain academic knowledge to complement your role and develop your skills as an IG Officer.


What are we looking for?





As a confident communicator, you will be required to build strong working relationships with all staff and encourage a culture of trust and openness along with ethical and legal compliance in the way we manage our information. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic and organised approach and having some knowledge of GDPR & Data Protection Legislation/regulation would be highly beneficial.



With increased working with suppliers in industries such as Defence and Space, experience of working with documents at UKG classification of Official Sensitive and higher would present an advantage.



Ability to obtain security clearance will also be required.
