Job Description

MCS Group is thrilled to partner with a global law firm in the recruitment of a Process Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure changes to the service infrastructure are recorded, evaluated, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled manner.
• Transition new services and major modifications into operation.
• Implement standardised methods for managing changes and releases in all environments.
• Mitigate risks to availability, performance, security, and compliance of business services.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of statistical and analytical principles.
• Ability to foster effective working relationships within the IT function and share knowledge across teams.
• Flexible approach and adept at coordinating information from various sources.
• Commercial acumen with an understanding of IT service costs and value to the business.
• Financial acumen to manage a large budget and internal financial processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
• Enthusiasm for technology and ability to promote its benefits in business-friendly language.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Good understanding and working knowledge of ITIL disciplines, particularly Change, Release & Transition Management.
• Awareness of development lifecycle for relevant technologies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and technology used within the organisation.
• Experience in IT Change/Release Management within a complex IT operations environment.
• Strong experience in transitioning complex, critical services into live operation.
• Experience working in a managed service environment.
• Proficiency in project management and project frameworks.
• Proven skills in data analysis, numeracy, and reporting.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Change, Release, and Service Management as per ITIL version 3.
• Minimum of 2 years\' experience as a Process Specialist in any ITIL function.
