The IT Infrastructure Support Technician is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of Two Saints IT infrastructure. The responsibilities revolve around maintaining and supporting the hardware, software, networks, and other systems that make up the IT environment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Infrastructure Manager with all aspects of support for the Two Saints network infrastructure, including endpoints.
Assist the Infrastructure Manager to execute network updates, new network equipment installs, network equipment moves and changes
Provide effective maintenance support for both the staff and client IT requirements not covered under 3rd Party contracts
Assist in the implementation of new or decommissioning of existing sites, working closely with external organisations and ensuring staff involvement where relevant.
Working with third party network providers, maintain and develop Two Saints IP Network schema documentation.
Building and maintaining a good working relationship with all partners and vendors, assisting them on a daily basis to resolve IT issues in a timely manner
Actively support the IT Manager in delivering the organisations digital priorities.
Record progress against tasks and actions logged in our helpdesk ticketing systems to ensure the Infrastructure Manager has visibility of progress. Assist in implementing the organisations network strategy.
Assist with the management of the My IT (Client Internet Provision) solution.
Assisting in implementations but also ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities.
Responsible for the administration and daily integrity checks of all the network systems within the organisation.
Assist the Infrastructure Manager to maintain accurate records of hardware serial numbers
In conjunction with third parties, assist the Infrastructure Manager in maintaining the corporate CCTV and telephony systems.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
This role will require an enhanced disclosure and barring service check which is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to users experiencing issues with infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and hardware devices.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving network, hardware and software problems, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of operations.
Network Support: Assisting with the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Documentation: Keeping detailed records of infrastructure configurations, changes, and incidents to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Collaboration: Working closely within IT teams and partners to ensure a cohesive and efficient IT environment.
Any recognised Networking qualification (e.g. CompTIA Network+, CCNA etc)
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
User Training: Providing guidance and training to users on how to use infrastructure components effectively and safely.
System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as updating firmware, applying patches, and conducting system backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
