Our client's Infrastructure Finance team forms part of our wider market-leading Finance Group and advises sponsors and funders across a range of UK and cross-border infrastructure transactions. This experience spans all financing events and products applicable to the energy and infrastructure sector, including acquisition financing, refinancings (including by way of multi-creditor platforms), portfolio financings, and Holdco financings.
Within infrastructure, the group cover a range of different industry sectors including energy (conventional power, renewable energy, and energy infrastructure), digital, transport, water and waste management, oil and gas, mining and minerals, utilities, communications, and social infrastructure. They continue to follow their clients into new and innovative sub sectors, as the definition of infrastructure expands.
The firm is genuinely full service within the sector. They do not have to subcontract any scope of work. They have technical specialists who understand the businesses our clients are investing in. They advise on the contracts underpinning the infrastructure on a daily basis. Few firms outside of the Magic Circle combine the transactional expertise and all these other elements to do these deals under one roof. The firm is uniquely placed to win more work in the sector. It has all the right elements to grow market share, as many clients start to build their mid-market strategies and funds, which make U.S. firm and Magic Circle fees more challenging to justify. Clients see that they can deliver on their deals, with well-resourced teams, that are genuinely partner led, with work spread out and done at the right levels. The firm take a pro active approach at developing and upskilling team members.
