We have been exclusively retained in the search for an In-House Clinical Negligence Solicitor at a leading business in the North-West. We are seeking to speak to Clinical Negligence Solicitors from 3 Years PQE qualified in England & Wales with a preference to work on a fully remote basis.

About the business:

• The business supports the medico-legal function in which the owner acts as a leading expert witness in a variety of clinical negligence cases, in particular cancer cases.
• The business has now expanded to 10 employees with ambitions to scale on a national level.
• This role would suit a Clinical Negligence Solicitor who wants to be involved more in the medical aspects of cases and opinion work.

About the role:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis and prepare expert opinion reports for new cases, which involves extracting pertinent information from medical records, summarising documents, creating chronologies and addressing any arising issues.
• Review legal proceedings and provide in-depth analysis and comments for consideration.
• Verify reports and follow-up opinions for consistency, legal accuracy and overall quality before finalising and sending them to clients.
• Delegate specific tasks to junior staff, providing clear direction and overseeing their work to ensure high-quality output within agreed timelines.

About you:

• A qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 3 years experience in clinical negligence, preferably with a focus on oncology cases.
• The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a client-facing role, consistently demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
• Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to produce high-quality written material based on in-depth analysis.
