The Role

TaxPro is expanding its services into

Section 75 Consumer Credit Act and mis-sold finance claims

and is seeking an experienced

In-House Consumer Litigation Solicitor

to establish and lead its internal claims function.

This is a newly created role offering genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build a specialist legal capability from the ground up. The successful candidate will act as the Company's

sole in-house legal specialist

for consumer litigation matters, taking full ownership of case progression, documentation standards, and compliance processes as the service scales.

The role will suit a confident solicitor who is comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, technology-led business and who enjoys taking responsibility for shaping how a new legal service operates.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a high-volume caseload of consumer litigation matters, including

Section 75 Consumer Credit Act claims

, mis-sold finance disputes, and related consumer-rights issues. Take end-to-end ownership of cases from initial assessment through to resolution. Draft pre-action correspondence, claim submissions, and detailed legal documentation to a consistently high standard. Prepare and maintain robust evidence bundles and case records in line with regulatory and compliance requirements. Liaise directly with clients, lenders, finance providers, and third parties, ensuring clear and professional communication. Develop and refine internal processes, templates, and workflows to support efficient, scalable case management. Work closely with senior leadership, providing legal input and helping shape the future direction of the claims service.
Requirements

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)

with relevant post-qualification experience. Proven experience in

consumer litigation, consumer credit disputes, or financial mis-selling

. Strong working knowledge of consumer rights legislation and the

Consumer Credit Act

. Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with excellent attention to detail. Confident drafting legal correspondence, evidence packs, and claim documentation. Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, technology-led environment. Professional and confident communicator with clients and lenders. Able to work full-time, on-site in

Birmingham City Centre

. Applicants must be able to demonstrate end-to-end responsibility for consumer credit or mis-selling cases, including drafting pre-action correspondence and managing lender disputes.
