Job Description

In-house Costs Officer - Greater Manchester A rare in-house opportunity has arisen for an experienced Costs Officer to co-ordinate and manage fee challenges and ensure a best practice approach is taken. he role will involve developing multi-disciplinary relationships across the business, with customers and also external costs consultants. Responsibilities: - Work with Finance / Operations to ensure efficient initial fee challenge engagement process; - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at key customers dealing with fee challenges; - Ensure best practice approach taken with all fee challenges; - Look to review / improve fee challenge process based on ongoing feedback from successful fee challenges; - Be a point of contact for the Customer Relationship Team where they get any fee challenge queries from their customers - so they have the knowledge to deal with themselves or escalate depending on the circumstances; and - Work closely with Group Legal on specific fee challenges as required. You: - Knowledge of the personal injury, claims process, specifically in relation to fee challenges; - Proven track record in dealing with fee / cost queries; - Experience of working in a results driven environment; - Experience of influencing at all levels and across business functions; and - Effective communication and presentation skills.
