Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and patient in-person Primary School Tutor for Reception-level support in Manchester (M19 area). This role is ideal for a tutor who can provide social interaction support and confidence-building for a young student, Zidan, helping him thrive in his early academic journey and enjoy learning in a supportive, understanding setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in-person for a Reception-level student, focusing on confidence building, social skills, and positive engagement.
Develop activities and lesson plans that foster Zidan's social interactions and support his unique learning needs.
Employ a patient, gentle approach to help the student feel comfortable and encourage progress at his own pace.
Leverage his strengths in math and memory to create an engaging learning experience that enhances confidence.
Build a positive and supportive relationship with the student, ensuring a constructive and enjoyable learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents to share progress and offer feedback on development areas.
Qualifications:
Experience in tutoring or teaching young children, with a focus on social skills and confidence-building.
Patience, empathy, and an understanding approach to working with young children and those with mild autism.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage young learners and foster a nurturing atmosphere.
A background in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, though not required.
Further Requirements:
A genuine passion for helping young children develop socially and academically.
Ability to provide identity checks and references.
Ability to provide two references, which can be from former lecturers, employers, or former clients.
