The job holder will be a results-oriented Sales Professional with excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Our Inside Sales Representatives are professionals who service established accounts and prospect leads to increase our customer base. Upon hire you will participate in a product orientation programme to quickly gain expertise with UPM products and customers.
Responsibilities
Sales
Respond to inbound sales calls/customer telephone inquiries concerning all company products, processing services, pricing and delivery options.
Make outbound sales calls for the purpose of prospecting, expanding the customer base, and for marketing of additional products/product applications or services to existing customers.
Build strong customer relationships.
Provide verbal and written quotations negotiating order level pricing and order level freight terms, determine inventory availability.
Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
Enter Sales orders on our system
Progress orders
Provide support for the other internal teams
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
5 GCSE to include Mathematics and English at C grade or above
Desirable
*2 A levels at grade C or above
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Essential
1+ years of inbound /outbound business to business telephone sales experience.
Desirable
*Previous experience in the metals industry especially in a service centre setting
KNOWLEDGE
Essential
Proficiency in the use of MS Office software, including E-mail and Internet technology
Desirable
Use and application of an ERP system.
SKILLS
Essential
Must be a results oriented sales professional with excellent communication, customer service, negotiation, organisational and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and work effectively with the specifications and application of an extensive product line.
