SGS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic

Internal Sales Executive

to join our dynamic team in Shepton Mallet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in sales within a fast-paced, B2B environment


This Internal Sales position is focused on driving business growth by supporting the external sales team. You'll play a key role in identifying, researching, and generating new leads, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships

What You'll Be Doing



Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Proactively call and email potential clients, uncover new opportunities, and raise awareness of SGS solutions.

Market Intelligence:

Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to help shape our strategy.

Customer Support:

Handle inbound enquiries via phone, email, Teams, and chatbot.

Sales Support:

Create quotes and proposals, progress leads, and coordinate meetings for the sales team.

CRM Management:

Maintain and update client records, monitor contract performance, and report on activity using Salesforce.

Client Development:

Re-engage lapsed clients and explore opportunities within existing accounts.

Administrative Duties:

Assist with onboarding, document management, and invoice/payment queries.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience



Confident cold caller and natural lead generator Strong commercial awareness and customer service mindset Previous experience in a phone-based, B2B technical or logistics environment Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)

Desirable



Background in customs, logistics, or related technical services Experience working with measurable performance targets Customer service or sales administration qualification
