Join Our Team as a Collection & Inspection Driver

At Ridgway Cars, every car we buy starts with an inspection. We send one of our drivers out to see the vehicle, give it a proper once-over, and then bring it back to site if it's right for us. It's a role that combines driving, inspecting, and meeting people and it's a vital part of how we operate.

We're looking for someone to join our team in this role. Ideally, you'll have some background with cars and know what to look out for, but you don't have to be a fully qualified mechanic. What matters more is having the right mindset: a keen eye for detail, a methodical way of working, and the willingness to learn. If you're the sort of person who likes to do things properly and takes pride in a job well done, we'll make sure you get the training and support you need.

A typical day looks like this: you'll be given details of a car to collect. You'll head out to meet the seller, carry out a inspection and short test drive, and then load the car safely for its trip back to us ( or drive it back). Sometimes it's straightforward, sometimes there are surprises but that's part of the variety.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys driving, doesn't mind putting in the miles, and can deal with people in a friendly and professional way. You don't need to be a salesperson, just able to talk to sellers clearly and confidently.
