We're looking for an Inspection Engineer with mechanical parts Inspection experience to join our fast-paced and friendly manufacturing team in Park Gate. This is a varied role where you'll play a vital part in inspecting machined parts, purchased parts and fuel injection equipment. You will be working closely with our skilled Workshop and CNC Section staff to ensure our exacting quality standards are maintained. You will need to have experience in the measurement and record keeping required when inspecting CNC machined metal parts.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential, along with solid organisational, numerical, and IT skills. Familiarity with Calibration systems and ERP systems within in a manufacturing environment is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Internal and External Fittings Inspection inclusive of the Rejection process where required
Ensure correct fit of fuel lines as per designated checking fixture
First off Machining Inspection
Fuel line End form Inspection prior to production runs
Be aware of weekly order shipping dates to ensure timely Final Inspection of fuel lines
Patch-Test approval: Monitoring of and approval of cleanliness requirements
Dealing with general workshop inspection queries
Quality responsibilities
Upkeep of existing Work Instruction Documents related to Quality and Inspection and preparation of new documents where appropriate
Aid Quality Engineer in the timely upkeep of all Calibration (Jigs, tools, gauges etc)
Health and Safety responsibilities
Devise new COSHH and Risk Assessments while maintaining current versions
Possible preparation of Health and Safety notes for the monthly meeting
What You'll Need:
Ability to read and interpret Technical Engineering Drawings
Ability to work to process guides and to create them where required
