Job Summary:

Do you enjoy working outdoors? Handy with tools? Good with people?

CFWN is a small broadband provider connecting homes and businesses across the Highlands. We're looking for a practical, friendly Engineer to help us deliver great internet service to rural communities.

You'll spend most days travelling from our base near Resolis to install and maintain broadband equipment. That includes mounting antenna, running cables, and making sure customers are left with a clean, reliable setup. You'll also help with prep work in the workshop--checking stock and keeping things organised with the team.

No experience in telecoms? No problem. If you're comfortable on a ladder, good with tools, and take pride in a tidy job, we'll teach you the rest.

Responsibilities:

Install broadband equipment at homes and businesses

Run indoor and outdoor cabling safely and neatly

Mount brackets, poles, and antennas (working at height)

Prepare equipment for installs (cable checks, mounting boards)

Help keep the workshop clean and organised

Work respectfully and professionally in customer properties

Diagnose and fix faults in the field

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence (required)

Comfortable working at height and in enclosed spaces

Confident using hand and small power tools

Friendly, reliable, and good with customers

Able to work outdoors in all seasons

Happy working alone or in a small team

Preferred but not essential:

Experience with network cable, aerial, or satellite installs

Basic knowledge of WiFi or broadband equipment
