Role Overview
The
Installation Manager
will lead and manage the installation of conveyor and material handling systems on sites nationwide. You will take ownership of project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring installations are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.This role suits a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge of conveyor systems and proven experience coordinating large-scale mechanical installations within live logistics or industrial environments. A company van will be provided.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Supervise and lead a team of installers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and develop effective installation plans.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
Train new staff on installation techniques, safety protocols, and the proper use of tools and equipment.
Requirements
Proven experience managing mechanical or conveyor system installations, ideally within the
post and parcel
or
intralogistics
sector
Strong technical understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and mechanical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
SMSTS / SSSTS certification (advantageous)
First Aid at Work (advantageous)
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites.
