The Installation Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and allocating installation and service jobs to field-based technicians across the UK. This role is central to ensuring work is delivered efficiently, customers are kept informed, and technicians are fully utilised. The position requires excellent organisation, clear communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule and allocate installation and service jobs to technicians nationwide
Coordinate workloads based on technician location, skill set, availability and travel time
Act as a key point of contact between customers, technicians and internal teams
Liaise confidently with customers to agree installation dates, confirm requirements and manage expectations
Communicate daily with technicians to issue jobs, update schedules and resolve issues
Respond proactively to changes such as urgent jobs, delays, cancellations or breakdowns
Ensure all jobs are planned efficiently to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
Skills & Experience
Required:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience liaising with customers and field-based teams
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
Good IT skills, including experience with planning systems, spreadsheets and email
Desirable:
Proven experience in planning, scheduling, coordination or a similar role
Experience working with nationwide field engineers or technicians
Background in logistics, installations, service planning or facilities management
Knowledge of the drinks dispense, hospitality or engineering sectors
