Position Overview

- To manage large street works installation projects from implementation to completion, ensuring effective, timely and professional delivery. The role will require regular site visits across the UK and occasional overnight stays, meeting with water authorities and councils and working alongside the licencing and installation departments at Cowshill.

Responsibilities: (Non-exhaustive)



Scope new projects and make initial contact with customers, obtaining additional information and liaising with Contracts Managers.

Ensure full and detailed information is obtained prior to commencement of the project.

Establish appropriate, realistic budgets, provide customer quotations and manage ongoing issues which may impact the project budget.

Coordinate with Installations Team to ensure correct specification of materials to meet project needs.

Liaise with the Licencing Team to ensure correct licence agreements, permits and traffic management arrangements are in place.

Support the Installations Manager to ensure accurate time management and scheduling of each project from commencement to completion.

Oversee the management and use of MS Planner throughout the project to facilitate efficient and effective delivery.

Manage relationship with subcontractors, meet with them to determine specifications and ensure health & safety requirements are met.

Meet with utility companies to identify the correct and safe method of installation determined by the presence of utilities and services.

Liaise with the QHSE Team to ensure accurate RAMS and construction phase plans are completed for all projects.

Support the installation engineers to ensure correct procedures are being followed.

Manage communications throughout the lifespan of the project, including with the Installations Team, engineers, client and subcontractors.

Handle the troubleshooting of matters arising during the project, to ensure quick and effective resolutions.

Follow up with customers following the completion of projects to ensure customer satisfaction has been achieved.

Collate and analyse project data to facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation and to support evidence-based decision-making.

Report to the Senior Leadership Team on issues arising and to provide feedback to support the process of continuous improvement.

Skills and experience:



Good project management skills and experience.

Good level of communication skills.

Good time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience of supervising or managing others.

Experience of providing a high level of customer service.

Knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and MS Planner.

Experience of using a CRM system.

Knowledge of key H&S and environmental legislation.

Awareness of data protection and GDPR requirements.

Knowledge of the drainage and waste water industry, or similar.

Clean UK driving licence.
