This role involves assisting customers with their purchases, providing knowledgeable advice on food safety and preparation, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. You will play a crucial role in promoting our products and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience. Help customers with inquiries regarding products, including kitchenware and food items. Demonstrate knowledge of food safety practices and assist in food preparation as needed. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and promote special offers. Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring all products are well-displayed. Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling and till operation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and excellent customer service. Manage time effectively to meet the demands of a busy retail environment.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety standards, and culinary practices is highly desirable. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change. Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks during peak hours. Previous experience in a retail or restaurant environment is an advantage but not essential. A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer experiences.
