Job Overview


Integrated Damage Solutions provide property disaster recovery services to a wide range of clients, including property and home insurers and owners.

We take responsibility for the restoration of properties damaged due to fire, flood, escape of water and accidental damage. Our services are delivered in Yorkshire, north East England, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk providing a local reactive, efficient and reliable service.

Due to continued expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to work on their own and use initiative, excellent IT Skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, and high levels of numeracy and literacy skills. To enable client deadlines to be met, candidates should be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads.

The Role



This role will provide the highest level of professional administration for a select number of commercial and domestic insurance clients.

In this role you will be expected to manage the entire customer restoration journey, including liaising directly with technicians, customers, clients and suppliers, new job acceptance and setup, day to day live job management and administration, management reporting using a variety of customer management systems, and client documentation.

Working as part of an existing high-performing team, you'll be able to:



Understand and demonstrate the importance of providing and evidencing the highest level of customer service. Ability to work at the detail level of daily job management and administration, dealing with the job detail, liaising with customers, their clients, suppliers, third party contractors and internal service delivery teams. Provide informative regular outbound communication to our customers and clients on work progress and exceptions. Ability and desire to be proactive and work under your own initiative when providing the best possible client journey for our customer, working to both agreed policies and procedures but also crucially having the ability to react and resolve challenges and issues in a timely manner.

Skills and experience required:



A passionate customer service focus mindset, having interpersonal customer empathy, with the ability to understand and react to our customers own perspective and what they might be thinking and feeling. Calm, confident and friendly communication manner. Ability to hold ongoing face to face, written and verbal conversations with customers, asking relevant questions and understanding requirements. Excellent telephone and written communication skills. Experience with claims or insurance related software packages and claims management systems (CMS) Proficiency in Microsoft Office package with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Outlook Ability to think ahead to help plan, schedule and communicate future customer activities. Ability to proactively generate informative communication to customers on their own specific jobs. Understanding of the importance of job pricing and costing models Ambitious and willing to study for professional qualifications, such as BDMA / CII 3+ years' experience in an office-based customer service delivery role in the insurance industry
