Insurance Officer - Enfield

Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days work from home

Main Responsibilities

  • Investigate insurance claims from first notification to settlement, including site visits.
  • Negotiate property and liability claims within the organisation's handling arrangements.
  • Support management of the organisation's 1.5 billion property insurance portfolio.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating insurable risks across departments.
  • Liaise with insurers, solicitors, loss adjusters, and internal teams.
  • Prepare reports, returns, and evidence for insurers and courts.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and Council policies.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Non-life insurance experience (public or private sector) covering motor, public liability, employers' liability, and property insurance claims.
  • Claims negotiation and settlement expertise.
  • Knowledge of insurance policy cover and liability.
  • Strong communication skills (telephone and face-to-face).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyse data and present well-reasoned conclusions.
