An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic grade 7 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join Swansea Community Integrated Services-Therapies Team, within Swansea Council. Join the Swansea Community Integrated Services Therapy Team and work across stunning Swansea Bay -- with breathtaking coastlines, scenic views, and vibrant culture all just a short journey away.


The team provides same day response and reablement to support people to be discharged in a timely and safe manner from hospital, or to prevent an admission to hospital or permanent placement into a care home. You will be supported by an experienced MDT including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, dietitians, medicine management, domiciliary care assistants, social workers and nursing colleagues.


You will carry out functional, holistic assessments and interventions. These may include making recommendations for equipment, adaptations and deliver rehabilitation to right size packages of care.


You will participate and contribute to service development, maintain documentation and comply with governance standards.


The successful applicant will be required to travel in a timely manner around the community and participate in a seven-day working roster.


The applicant should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and resilient.


The ability to speak Level 1 Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
