Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic Children and Young People's Occupational Therapy team at Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services (LOTS).

In this rewarding community-based role, you will work both independently and under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist to support children and young people in achieving their therapy goals. You will have responsibility for managing your own caseload and diary, and will play an important part in delivering high-quality, client-centred care across a range of settings.

As this is a community-based position, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions as directed by an Occupational Therapist, ensuring a high standard of care and effective progress monitoring.

Carry out individual and group therapy sessions within schools and community settings.

Support the Occupational Therapy process both independently and alongside qualified therapists.

Maintain accurate, professional records of interventions and progress.

Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals to support holistic care.

Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each child.

Work with clients referred through case management, local authority, and private funding streams.

Additional Clinical Responsibilities



Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate by peers, team leaders, or management to support service delivery and client outcomes.

Comply with all mandatory training and contribute to ongoing service development initiatives.
