Job Summary:

Collins Aerospace is seeking a talented individual to lead HS Marston and its production processes through its Digital Journey. Our business operations increasingly demand integration and dynamic/real time digital, with numerous exciting projects across the business. The successful candidate will be working towards industry 4.0 and help create an integrated and connected factory which brings value to the customer and the business.

The successful candidate will be working as a senior member responsible for the design and implementation of an application, along with making business decisions as to how these applications are setup and governed, to meet business needs and to improve productivity. The role will include a range of skills from system architecture, developing applications, managing projects, an increased level of business responsibility. They will be working collaboratively with the business to scope out and develop solutions to provide maximum value and work with customers to address their needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Digital Transformation \xe2\x80\x93 you will take an active role in the implementation of various projects in support of the Digital Strategy as we transform our business into a smart factory. Key activities
o Automation of transactions

o Automation of data collection

o Robotic interfaces

o Support new application integration.
  • Work with Central DT to ensure database estate is compliant.
  • Increasing business process efficiency through automation of transactions.
  • Engage and work with many stakeholders to ensure digital solution meets business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships with business, vendors, and customers.
  • Work with all areas to implement digital solutions to business process issues \xe2\x80\x93 driving for automation of transactions, data collection and reporting.
  • Participate in initiatives that include, but are not limited to, delivering application solutions, infrastructure refreshes, business integrations, compliance assessments and remediation, service improvement, managed services and outsourcing agreements.
  • Actively support the EH&S policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements through the management of the risk management process, proactively removing risk from our manufacturing processes, especially where their sub-discipline is concerned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree and minimum 5+ years of prior relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering, or Operations improvement, in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Identification, design, and deployment of Automation, Robotics and Digital systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Several years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced in Microsoft SQL and XML.
  • Knowledge and uses of business application tools (Solumina, Teamcentre, CIMCO, SAP) would be an advantage.
  • Some project management experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/ Lean engineering and principles.

Working Environment:
  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
  • This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
