Role Summary: Dexcom is seeking a Integrations CoE Lead to work within the EMEA Applications team as part of a global integrations capability that manages, develops and supports integrations between enterprise applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully you must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. As the successful candidate: You will be accountable for regional CoE services including:

  • Understand the integration platform in the technical and functional sense
  • Input to strategy and roadmap of the next generation real-time event-bus platform based on Apache Kafka and microservices architecture
  • Assist in building out the infrastructure strategy for hosting and managing our microservice and connector infrastructure in Google cloud
  • Establish best practices for implementing our platform based on identified use cases and required integration patterns
  • Manage the CoE framework application on a regional level
  • Ensure compliance with global CoE standards, that projects are following the SDLC and are documented
  • Keep documentation in line with the latest state of the framework
  • Manage internal competence shifts and ensure that every new team member completes the onboarding processes
  • Support project intake by owning integrations analysis, design, and estimations
  • Assign CoE team members to resourcing requirements
  • Foresee resource bottlenecks and take preventive steps to scale the CoE organization
  • Communicate with upper IT levels for all integrations related needs
  • Making the Global CoE committee aware of the needs and specifics of their region
Required Qualifications/Experience: The successful candidate will have:
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a Technical discipline or equivalent
  • A number of years hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written form. Able to interact with technical IT staff and business people, while speaking at the appropriate level of the audience.
  • Seasoned messaging expert with strong fundamentals in distributed systems design, implementation, and operations. Possesses an established track record with Kafka technology with hands-on production experience and a deep understanding of the Kafka architecture, fault-tolerance, and internals of how it works
  • Thinks architecturally in terms of the bigger picture, and has strong design instincts
  • Hands-on experience as a developer who has used the Kafka API to build producer and consumer applications
  • Practical experience with Kafka Connect, KStreams, and KSQL, with ability to know how to use effectively for different use cases, including how to scale and make fault tolerant
  • Strong familiarity of wire formats such as XML, JSON, Avro, CSV, etc. along with serialization/deserialization options
  • Solid programming proficiency with Java, and best practices in development. Passion for writing high quality, rock-solid software, including test automation (unit/integration)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and cloud-native technology
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of other message-bus architectures such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Tibco, Solace, ActiveMQ
  • Experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform
  • Familiarity with database and SQL-based technology
  • Exposure to one or more of these following business applications is desirable - Oracle EBS and Fusion, Oracle Service Cloud, Salesforce
  • Has worked with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, and has ability to write well-structured user stories and participate in agile ceremonies using Jira as the agile tool
