Interim CAPEX Procurement Manager

Remote / Hybrid

12 months +

\xc2\xa340 - 45 per hour (including holidays)

Would you like to be a leader of a key CAPEX investment Project for a multi-national, \xc2\xa3bn turnover manufacturing giant who are offering a remote position as their Interim CAPEX Procurement Manager?

This fast-paced, multi-application Manufacturing giant supplies products to some of the largest names and industries in the world including consumer care, life sciences, FMCG, chemical and pharma, and are renowned for their quality and service.

Due to an exciting period of investment, the business is looking for a highly experienced Interim CAPEX Procurement Specialist to manage a business-critical project for 12 months minimum.

This role can be done remotely with travel to suppliers and occasional travel to key sites around the North of England.

This is paying an hourly PAYE rate of \xc2\xa340-45 including holidays.

Main duties include:

• Lead the Procurement cycle Managing the full cycle from concept, design, specification, build, tender, reward, mobilisation and handover of key CAPEX projects
• Responsible for leveraging spend, capability and optimise capital investment opportunities
• Manage supplier performance & dispute resolution
• Procurement lead in kick-off meetings and post contract award performance review meetings
• Determine category and sub-category strategy and provide risk mitigation through appropriate frameworks
• Manage MRO contracts, partnering with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure service and quality levels are maintained

Ideal candidate:

• Pharma & Medical / Engineering / construction engineering / manufacturing / power generation / utilities / oil & gas backgrounds would lend itself well to this role
• Experienced in procurement of equipment and services, including contracts (ideally familiar with NEC, JCT or EPC suite of terms or similar)
• Experience of Procurement reporting such as Procurement Status Report, Expediting and Budget Forecasts
• Able to commit fully to 12 months minimum period and have the ability to work remotely under own drive and organisation
